Family-run and operated for over 40 years, we have become world-renowned for our expert craftmanship, artistry, technique, and service.

We are seeking an experienced Millwork Engineer to add to our current Millwork team. Responsibilities:

  • Visit job sites to gather field dimensions and ensure that Woodmeister designs fit the space allotted through accurate measurements. • Create detailed CAD shop drawings, cut sheets, and parts list packages from architectural designs.
  • Flag areas of concern regarding design or functionality, provide input for approval of drawings, and work with designers, PMs, and general contractors to resolve concerns.
  • Identify and utilize the most efficient and practical method for fabrication and installation of designs; standardize whenever possible.
  • Ensure all change requests are accurately updated and incorporated into drawings.
  • Collaborate with fabrication and installation teams to communicate the scope of the project and explain special circumstances that ensure the highest-quality outcome.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ years’ work experience in cabinetmaking or designing/drafting in an architectural millwork environment.

  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Should have a solid understanding of cabinetmaking manufacturing methods.
  • Physical requirements include, but are not limited to, having adequate vision to read fine print on blueprints and printouts, ability to work on a computer for prolonged periods of time, and the physical ability to negotiate uneven terrain at job sites, climb hills and stairs, and navigate construction sites.
