We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Estimator and Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Pre-Construction Manager, Director of Construction, and Sales team to review architectural, schematic, and conceptual drawings in response to pricing requests. They will also support the Construction division in a Project Management capacity on bids that are competitive in the high-end residential construction marketplace.

As the Estimator and Project Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating with designers, architects, and clients to understand project requirements
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications, and existing conditions
  • Participate in pre-construction meetings with internal and external parties
  • Generating RFIs and submittals as needed
  • Utilizing specialized software for estimating and project management
  • Estimating self-performing carpentry and paint labor with internal resources
  • Providing cost-benefit analysis for alternative materials or methods, as needed
  • Advising on cost-saving strategies that won’t compromise quality or compliance
  • Identifying potential project risks and their cost implications
  • Participating in value engineering of estimates based on changes in project scope, specifications, or other factors
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key industry partners
  • Collaborating with a variety of internal departments on estimates and scheduling
  • Negotiating with subcontractors and vendors on terms and pricing
  • Preparing and presenting bid packages to clients, with detailed cost breakdowns
  • Developing and Managing project schedules and budgets (fixed, cost-plus & T&M)

You should have eight to ten years of management experience in high-end residential construction and bid estimating and a thorough knowledge of the building trades including millwork and renovation, the ability to develop relationships with customers, designers and subcontractors. This position requires the leadership to meet our exacting standards of quality and customer satisfaction while bringing projects in on time and at budget.
